Large 8vo, in the original fern-green cloth lettered and decorated on the spine and upper cover in black and gilt featuring gilt roses and emblems within a chain boarder. X, 148pp., ads. pp. A very nice copy of this elusive title, the cloth especially fresh and bright though just a bit shaken.

Edizione: one of the less commonly found titles of gordon home's books for adam and charles black. in this volume home lovingly paints and describes the coastal and moorland regions of yorkshire. an artist who worked mainly in watercolour, and who frequently exhibited at the royal academy, home is noteworthy among illustrators for being equally talented with a writer's pen.
