Edizione: one of heaney's scarcest twenty-first century poems, this is the only single printing of the poem, which was included in human chain, the poet's last published collection of works. this edition is limited to only 500 copies printed and only 450 for sale, numbered and signed by seamus heaney. it is also a very lovely production, with fine colourplates and drawings by contemporary irish artist martin gale and printed on fine rives artist paper.<br> in the riverbank field heaney draws on literature dating back to the the classical author virgil but is firmly set in his own ulster landscape around castledawson. this local riverbank field, running along beside the moyola, feels every bit as perfect and virgil's paradise.
