Edizione: the heritage club was founded by george macy who had earlier established the limited editions club. although reproducing books from the limited editions club volumes, those of heritage were in smaller size and made to be sold less expensively. they did not, however, skimp on the presentation. these editions exhibit the quality press work, artistic bindings, well rendered illustrations and even the provided slipcases just like those of their far more expensive limited counterparts.<br> the text is that of jowett’s third edition, the authoritative text with all of jowett’s corrections and emendations and with a new arrangement of his analysis. kredel’s woodcut embellishments are highly sympathetic to the classical origins of the text.
