Legatura coeva in mezza pelle blu con angoli, piatti in percallina, dorso con nervi, titoli su tassello rosso e fregi impressi in oro, tagli marmorizzati, testo in inglese su due colonne, numerose illustrazioni in b/n nel testo, 32 tavole fuori testo di cui 12 in cromolitografia (8 di quest'ultime, protette da carta velina, rappresentano altrettante varietà di fiori su disegni di J.L. Macfarlane e W. H. Fitch), etichetta dell'editore al contropiatto posteriore. Restauro amatoriale alla cerniera del piatto posteriore, abrasioni agli angoli della legatura, all'interno in ottimo stato.
