Black cloth covers have sharp corners with lower back worn. A little fading at upper and lower spine edge, otherwise very clean with gilt lettering on spine. Binding is solid and square, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. 255 pages with lavish illustrated endpapers. Dust jacket is tattered at top spine, is price clipped, has edge wear, chipping at hinge edges; no tears greater than 1/2". The story behind the creation of the monumental feminist scuplture The Dinner Party, a project which took years to complete. Illustrated with many full color plates and black and white photographs showing the construction of the component pieces, which included 39 ceramic place settings, embroidered runners and a heritage floor honoring 999 women of achievement (includes brief biographies of all these women).
