Ivano-Frankivshchyna (?-?) is an oblast [region] in western It was part of the historical region of Galicia. After World War I, the area became part of the Second Polish Republic until it was annexed by the Soviet Union and called the Stanislav Oblast until 1962, when it was renamed after the Ukrainian writer Ivan Franko. This book is a colourful photographic survey of the area. its places, people and culture.
