To a Monsieur Duveirier [Duveyrier], showing his profound gratitude for a kind article in "Le Constitutionnel" about the "Correspondance D'Orient": "Je me suis inform au constiutionel [!] pour savoir qui avait bien voulu parler dans ce journal de la correspondance d'orient. On m'a repondu que c' tait vous que je devais un article si obligeant, quoi que je n'aie point de [titrer] votre bienveillance, vous aves [!] montr dans votre extrait l'indulgence de l'amiti . La mani re dont vous ecrives [!] me fait mettre encore plus de prix votre suffrage amical. Agrees [!] mes remerciements et mes affectueuses salutation [.]". - The publication "Correspondance D'Orient" (7 volumes; published in 1831), comprises the exchange of letters between Poujoulat et Michaud, who had together started a journey to the Orient in 1830, when Poujoulat went home to Paris via Syria and Michaud travelled further to Egypt. - With light staining and slightly creased; fol. 2 with small tear due to opening of the seal (no effect on the text). With c collector's note in pencil, including the supposed year of the letter "1836".
