Since the first edition of Aircraft of World War Il appeared at the end of 1962, it has maintained a steady, popular appeal as a handy, one-volume guide to the warplanes of 1939-45.
Ten years after its first publication, it now emerges in an enlarged format, with 8 pages of colour plates and 8 extra black and white pages. In all, some 270 of the 340 photographs are new to this edition.
Aircraft of World War Il includes basic data and photographs of more than 300 of the principal aircraft of the period, together with brief notes on nearly 200 more experimental or minor operational types.
