A picture of this book is available upon request by em A well-illustrated account of the author's travels from Aden to Mombasa, Zanzibar, where she formed a caravan, Wa-Nyika, Wa-Teita to Tveta, around Lake Chala with chapters on vulcans of Chaga, , Kimangelia, Masai, Hamidi, her meetings with Sultan Mireali and Mandara of Moschi, etc. The map is of Kilimanjaro to the sea. The illustrations include handicrafts, weapons, people, customs, jewelry. The last section is a listing of the medicines taken with on the expedition.
