Description

Limited Signed Edition by author on title page. Also signed by John Steel who as the drummer, with Eric Burdon formed the nucleus of the band that became The Animals. No other marks or inscriptions. Tiny crease to lower corner of front cover, none to rear or to spine. A lovely clean crisp very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 246pp. Also enclosed is a flyer for the 40th Anniversary Tour of The Animals & Friends plus a ticket to the show at Wyllyotts Centre on 16 Oct 2004. A chance meeting between Eric Burdon and Johhny Steel in a Newcastle Art College in the 1950s led them to form the nucleus of a band of hell raisers and musicians which over time resulted in The Animals, a major musical phenomenon of the sixties. The story is told as a factual novel interweaving the personal story of Terry with the real events and influences which carried them to the top. With black & white photographs of the personalities involved and their lives. A very scarce item.
