Le tavole XIX, XXIV, XXIX portano la nota incisa del nome del sovvenzionatore dell’incisione stessa.Nicolaus Georg Geve (1712-1789) pittore ed illustratore danese, studiò a Copenhagen sotto la direzione del pittore ufficiale di corte Johann Salomon Wahl. Johannes Dominicus Schulze (1751-1790) dottore e naturalista tedesco, portò a termine l’opera di Geve appena prima della morte.In folio, Series of copper engraved and hand colored plates (numbered 1-30, 23x18.5 signed by Geve, for a total of 362 shell illustrations) formerly part of the work of Nicolaus G.
