Description

This is a near fine hardcover copy with a like dust jacket. A short previous owner last name on the title-page, otherwise completely clean throughout. Text in GERMAN. This monograph was prepared to accompany the exhibition that opened at the Museum fur Angewandte Kunst in Cologne from May 15 to August 3, 1997. The exhibition then traveled to three other museums in Germany and the Architektur Zentrum in Vienna in 1998-99. Rudolf Schwarz (1897-1961) was a modernist German architect known for his work on churches in Germany. One of his intellectual mentors was Romano Guardini the Catholic theologian. Illustrated throughout mostly in black & white with many vintage photographs of buildings, drawings, plans, details, etc. Also some color plates. Hilde Strohl compiled the illustrated Werkverzeichnis. 12" high X 10" wide, 315 pages. Large heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
