Description

Cover slightly rubbed, otherwise good and very clean. - Text bilingual English and German. - From the text: Although an almost unlimited quantity of words have been written about Oscar Peterson, a relatively small percentage of this literature is devoted to Peterson away from the keyboard. Presently rounding out his 45th year, Oscar has been described by many who know him as one of the most mature individuals ever to take up jazz as a profession. Norman Granz, his manager for many years, has said: During all our international tours, Oscar has always been the most touristic and retentive-minded of all of us. He leads a fuller and more varied life than any other musician I know. In fact, he is so well informed and organized that I'm sure he could run for public office in Toronto if he cared to try.. - PROGRAMMING of music for the concert is selected by Mr. Peterson from the mood and response of the audience while the concert is in progress. It is likely, however, that some of the following selections will be heard: On A Clear Day-- Girl Talk -- The Peterson Medley -- Little Girl Blue -- Body and Soul -- Easy Walker -- Tin Tin Daeo -- Foggy Day in London Town -- Sandy's Blues -- Alice in Wonderland -- Noreen's Nocturne -- Selections from "The Canadian Suite" -- Sweet Georgia Brown -- Pennies from Heaven -- When Lights Are Low -- Easy Listenin' Blues -- The Champ -- Waltzing Is Hip -- Satin Doll -- Love Is Here To Stay -- On Green Dolphin Street -- I Remember Clifford -- Blues For Big Scotia -- I Love You.
