Early reprinting of the First Edition with some alterations. With twenty lovely plates reproduced from the paintings of John Fulleylove in full and finely rendered colour. 8vo, in the publisher's original decorated blue cloth, the upper cover featuring lettering, Scottish lions, thistle and the Church of St. Giles all in gilt within a chain framework in tan, the spine lettered and similarly decorated in gilt and tan, t.e.g. viii, 176 pp, 4 ads. A handsome copy, the plates are all fresh and fine, the cloth in nice condition, showing only slight evidence of age, very sturdy and strong with firm hinges. A nice copy.
