Also a chip off the rear cover lower edge. Djanira da Motta e Silva (1914 - 1979 ) was a painter, designer, illustrator, and set designer born in Sao Paulo Brazil and worked in Rio de Janeiro most of her life. This exhibition is a virtual retrospective. The exhibition was held in Rio at the Museu de Belas Artes from October through December of 1976. Essays by three writers. The essay by Clarival do Prado Valadares is titled 'A visao retrospectiva da obra de Djanira'. Also an essay by Flavio de Aquino. All text in Portuguese. Chronology. 15 color plates + 85 black & white illus. The checklist for the exhibition lists 115 paintings and 65 drawings or works on paper.
