This monograph was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Palm Springs Art Museum, from November 9, 2014 to February 22, 2015. Stewart Williams was in Raymond Loewy's office during the late 1930's and worked on the 1939 New York World's Fair. His first residential commission in 1947 in Palm Springs for Frank Sinatra was a ranch house style similar to work being done by Richard Neutra and Albert Frey in the Palm Springs area. Essays by Lauren Weiss Bricker, Elizabeth Edwards Harris, Erin Hyman, Vilker M. Welter, Sidney Williams and Wim de Wit. Project List. Bibliography. Illustrated in black & white with many vintage photographs, also color. 11" high X 12" wide, 209 pages. Large heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra.
