The authors discuss Mucha's years in Paris his iconography of Sarah Bernhardt his service to the Czech government his distinctive style that became nearly synonymous with turn of the century French Art Nouveau and much more. More: this book introduced a yet undiscoveredd aspect of Mucha's work as well as reproducing Mucha's best loved images all in magnificent color. Filled with close ups of a splendid variety of the beloved artist's works the book covers 'The Arts' 1898 a series that emphasised the creative inspiration of natural beauty by giving each of the arts a natural backdrop relating to the time of day. The lithographs are presented with title date medium and size. A section on 'Parisian posters' written by Petr Wittlich features the poster that made Mucha famous.
