folio [32 x 22 cm]; [xxvi], 456 pp, engraved frontis being a birds' eye view of the house and garden of the Prince of Wales, 2 engraved plates (one a passion flower and fruit), engraved head and tail pieces, engraved initials. disbound without covers and only part of spine, old signature on title page, margin of frontis browned & a little chipped, very light foxing on few leaves, but clean, crisp, very good copy. A picture of this book is available upon request by email. Henry 945. The author was one of the more celebrated gardening writers of his time. The work includes all aspects of fruit, vegetable and flower gardening and agriculture but with other topics such as creating fish pond, making bricks, quarries, mining, etc. Massachusetts Horticultural Society Catalogue 179.
