This is a fine softcover copy with no wear at all. Completely clean inside and out. Spine not creased, binding firm. This is a sale catalog for an auction held in South Kensington on November 16, 2006. Sale code: IMP- 5083. The sale contained works from the studio of Francis Bott. Bott was born in Frankfurt-am-Main in 1904. After being encouraged by Oskar Kokoschka to take up painting he did so. Working as a surrealist in the 1930's and 40's, and exhibiting in 1947 at the Galerie Maeght, Surrealist show organized by Andre Breton and Marcel Duchamp. In 1958 he participated in the 'Ecole de Paris' show at Galerie Charpentier. 197 lots in the sale. All of them abstract art, and illustrated in color. Foreword by Pierre Soulages laid in. Short essay by Christie's staff. 10 1/2" high X 8" wide, 94 pages. This book will be securely packed and shipped with tracking.
