A picture of this book is available upon request by email. An important study including rafts and floats, the dugout, the skin boat, the bark canoe, the modern canoe and all their variations over time and from different aboriginal peoples. Many of the illustrations are from early sources including the making and use of the canoe. A major, if not the best modern work on the subject.
