Original editorial (The Specialist Series) blue cloth with gilt lettering on spine, worn at head and tail, publisher stamp on pastedown, technical society label and owner inscription on endpaper, not ex-library, overall a good copy. Scarce comprehensive work devoted on illumination and lamps, including 213 illustrations and an updated bibliography in appendix, revised after WW1 in second edition with added chapters Lighting Conditions in War Time and Searchlights and other Appliances for the Projection of Light.
