With 27 black and white plates from photographs as well as handsome woodcut style illustrations on the introductory pages to the various sections, a fold-out map of the Yosemite region, a diagram within the text, and reproductions of Nation Park Service insignia. 8vo, in the publisher's handsome original forest green textured cloth, the upper cover with pictorial decoration of mountains, trees, and a river and lettering in white and black within a black ruled border, the lettered and decorated with a sequoia tree in black. xiii, 347 pp. A fine copy, especially for a handbook of this type, the green cloth is in exceptional state of preservation with no evidence of use or wear, the folding map also essentially as pristine, the text bright and clean, a touch of very minor spotting to the prelims only.
