First edition, full title Faster Than Thought A Symposium on Digital Computing Machines.
Original editorial grey cloth, lettering on spine, cover worn and frayed at head and tail. Ex-company library copy with stamps on endpaper, no other stamps or marks noted inside, small tear at p.346 not affecting text and without loss, internally G-to-VG, overall a Fair-to-Good copy. Based on a symposium on digital computing machines, among the contributors were Booth (Birkbeck College), Turing, Kilburn, Williams (Manchester University), Wilkes (Cambridge), Bowden, Smith, Pollard, Swann (Ferranti), including an historical note on Babbage and Lovelace.
