Chalcographic title-page in a richly decorated frame: supported by two angels at the top, above the title, the coat of arms of Cardinal Aldobrandini (to whom this work is dedicated); at the bottom the coat of arms of the Author of the Italian translation of Lipsius: Ercole Cati from Ferrara; on the two lateral bands the images of the four cardinal virtues. Roman and italic type. Woodcut initials and head-pieces. TRANSLATION INTO THE VERNACULAR OF THE LIPSIUS’ ESSAY ON POLITICS: "POLITICORUM SIVE CIVILIS DOCTRINAE LIBRI SEX". The work includes: Tables of contents ("Tavola de' capitoli ." and "Tavola delle matiere . ") and Alphabetical index ("Tavoli de' nomi de' personaggi . ").
