Oblong 8vo. 1 page (6 lines). Mounted to larger backing paper. Addressed to the politician and later Mayor of London, Matthew Wood Esq. at Falcon Square. - Thomas North took his own life, aged 54, after reports that his wife, who had borne him twelve children, was having an affair with the Duke of Cumberland. - With collector's note to backing paper "From Western Wood Esq. 1851". Some brownstaining.
