A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 254pp. The story of the theatre in Cirencester which began in the 18th century under the management of John Boles Watson and continued well into the 19th century. This study also gives brief descriptions and histories of a futher forty-four regional theatres which were established by John Boles Watson across the southern half of Britain, some of which are still in use today.
