First edition, first printing and with the earliest state (January, 1852) of the publisher's ad catalogue. 8vo, publisher's original Ticknor ribbed brown cloth, style A with the covers stamped in blind, the spine lettered in gold and stamped in blind. yellow coated endpapers, the ad catalogue inserted in the front. 4 ads., 273 pp. A nice copy of a book rarely found so, the binding is firm and tight, the textblock solid. The brown cloth with a bit of spotting and a bit of wear at the extremities, the ads with a bit of spotting and marking.
