Thomas Moat

THE SHORT-HAND STANDARD attempted by an analysis of the Circle as an introductory foundation of a New System of Stenography, which demonstratively proves that a Speaker can be followed with one third less inflections of the Pen, and consequently in one third less time than by any other system extant

Description

Text in good order with only occasional marking. The extensive section of plates showing how to execute Mote's system is rather toned and a little foxed occasionally. Would be rated good, but for brown boards which are heavily worn with some loss from spine strip. A fascinating volume for anyone who has ever learnt (or tried to learn) shorthand (there are some of us left). 8vo. 120pp + xxiv plates.
