Edizione: originally published in 1904. the illustrator, fletcher martin wrote, "when i was a kid i read the sea-wolf and other stories by jack london with a real addiction. he was a kindred spirit. the ports of the pacific coast were very romantic to me, and my determination to go to sea was fired by reading london. like van weyden, the hero of the sea-wolf, i experienced the thrilling drama of the moods of the sea."
