With a portrait frontispiece. 8vo, handsomely bound in contemporary tan mottled calf, elaborately tooled and decorated in gilt, the spine in six compartments separated by raised bands, very elaborate full gilt tooled panels within the compartments, gilt lettered on a red morocco label in one compartment, covers with fine gilt roll-tooling at the borders, gilt rolled turnovers, marbled endleaves, all edges gilt. A fine binding. x, 924 pp. Internally a fine copy, some light rubbing and wear to the extremeties.

Edizione: bryon’s complete poetical works handsomely presented in a gilt decorated falf binding, beautifully preserved inside. this is a fine production of byron’s great romantic poetry printed in double column. this edition comes from john murray's published a bit earlier. murray had a particular interest in byron and is largely responsible for publishing and promoting the author, as this fine one volume collection attests. if not for murray’s efforts, it may have taken byron works years, if ever, to reach the same height of popularity and fame.
