Description

No marks or inscriptions to contents. Creasing to front cover. A very clean very tight copy with bright boards, traces of storage, minor foxing to top of page edges and minor bump to spine foot. 272pp. Detailed historical study using the work of Lewsi H Morgan, beginning in prehistoric time, which looks at how the family, property and state developed, considering anthropology through various races including the Iroquis, Greeks, Romans, Celts and Germans. It also looks at savagery, barbarism and civilization. It states 'First edition' on publisher's page but clearly isn't.
