With a full 75 wonderful plates in full colour from paintings by Alfred Heaton Cooper, and with a map of the Lake District. 8vo, publisher's original gray cloth decorated in a stylized art nouveau manner featuring water lilies and lake fish in white, green and salmon on the upper cover and spine, the spine is lettered in gilt, the cover in green. ix, 230, 8 ads. A pleasing and well preserved copy, the cloth with just a touch of bit of mellowing and some light evidence of shelving or use, the interior very nice with only a bit of the usual foxing evident occasionally.
