With provenance of George Cheever Shattuck, M.D., physician, educator, and hospital administrator at Harvard Medical School; Boston City Hospital; Brookline, MA.<br> With 24 illustrations, with 14 being from photogravure with captioned tissue guards, 8 sketch maps showing the growth of the Club from the original 8 hole to the then-current 27 hole courses, a chart showing the growth of the Club and a facsimile invitation. 4to, publisher's original green cloth, the upper cover lettered, ruled and decorated in gilt with the Club's iconic squirrel emblem, the lower cover gilt ruled, the spine gilt ruled and lettered, t.e.g. x, 213pp. A fine copy, the green cloth fresh and bright and unfaded, sturdy and tight, the gilt on the spine just a touch dulled, internally clean and looking unused, a bit of very mild and unobtrusive offsetting opposite the photogravures
