Small 4to, in the publisher's original decorated paper-covered boards feauturing more fun artwork by Edward Lear. 63, [1] pp. A fine copy, the paper toned a bit as is common but very evenly and quite unobtrusively, some very minor mellowing to the board edges.

Edizione: a new collection of nonsense from the undisputed champion of the genre. apart from a number of limericks, all of the material in the book was hitherto unpublished, and here provided with all original illustrations as well. along with the title sequence and aforementioned limericks, the reader will also find within 'the adventures of mr lear', 'the polly and the pusseybite', 'flora nonsensica', 'the scroobius pip' and 'cold are the crabs'.
