Two works in one volume, 8vo and 4to (213x142 mm). I: VIII, 60 pp. and 1 folding plate. With woodcut diagrams in text; II: 27, [1 blank] pp. 19th-century half vellum. A nice copy.
First editions. Leonardo Salimbeni, originally from Split, was an engineer and mathematician, specializing in the statics of arches and vaults, ballistics, and military engineering. He was director of the school of military engineering first in Verona, then from 1798 in Modena.
