Covers France, North Africa, Sicily, Italy and Norway, but inevitably the major part of the work is devoted to the medical role at Arnhem. Many useful photographs and much valuable vernacular material. The most comprehensive study and a splendid complement to Cole's 'Wings of Healing' (1963).
