Catalogue notes by Anne Ehrenkranz, dedication by Andre Jammes, and essays by Colin Eisler and Linda S.Ferber. W.J.Stillman was an avid photographer in the 19th. Century, and he took wonderful pictures [1869] of the Acropolis and Athens [1882] and Crete [1865-1868] whilst he served in Greece as the American Consul (His wife was Greek - Maria Spartali was a well known Pre-Raphaelite artist. 126p.Illus.
