291 pages. Reference notes. Black and white plates. Author's signature and inscription, dated 1930, upon front free endpaper. Prior owner's details upon front free endpaper and half-title page. Upon title page is hand-written "Dominion Senator", indicating that the author was in fact a Canadian Senator. Mr. Haydon was also an influential Federal Liberal and one of Mackenzie King's most trusted advisors. Hairline openings in binding at title page and inside back free endpaper. Few marginal markings in pencil. Average wear. Gilt lettering upon backstrip. Overall a quality copy. Book
