No marks or inscriptions to contents. Very minor creasing to rear cover. Clean tight pages in booklet form with slightly sunned boards, slight marking to rear, rusty staples and no bumping to corners. Large fold-out sketch map (21 x 31 inches) of London under Henry II at end is in excellent condition. 40pp. An account of the City of London from the time of the Conquest, when even then it stood alone above other English towns in wealth and power. Includes a translation of William Fitz Stephen's description of London. Historical Association Leaflets No 93 and 94.
