Altersgem�sehr gut erhalten, Bindung in Band 3 leicht gel�st, aber noch intakt. Jakut al-Hamawi ar-Rumi (1179-1229) war ein arabischer Handelsreisender, Bibliothekar, Kalligraph, Biograph und Geograph griechischer Abstammung. Sein Hauptwerk ist das Geographische W�rterbuch, erstmals ediert von Ferdinand W�stefeld 1866-73, hier in einem Nachdruck aus Beirut 1977, der den reinen arabischen Text enth�, ohne W�stefelds Anmerkungen und Register. / From the library of Prof. Dr. Albrecht Noth (1937-1999), long-time professor for the history and culture of the Near East in Bonn and Hamburg. In good condition, spine of vol. 3 slightly open, but still tight. Text in Arabic. Yaqut al-Hamawi al-Rumi (1179-1229) was an Arab traveller, librarian, calligrapher, biographer and geographer of Greek origin. His main work is the Dictionary of Countries, edited for the first time by Ferdinand W�stefeld 1866-73, offered here in a 1977 reprint from Beirut, containing the complete Arab text without W�stefeld's notes and index.
