Illustrated with an engraved title-page and 13 hand-coloured plates by John Leech. 8vo, bound by Blackwell of England in full crimson calf, the spine with raised bands gilt stopped, the compartments with elaborate gilt tooling of hunting scenes and floral borders, lettered in gilt on contrasting green and brown morocco labels in two compartments, the covers with outer and inner frames of gilt fillet rules, a third inner frame rolled in gilt, corner devices gilt, edges gilt tooled, elaborate gilt turnovers, marbled endleaves, top edge gilt, silk ribbon marker, the original covers and spine panel bound in at the end of the volume. x, [2], 408, [3 ads on yellow paper] pp. A fine copy internally, the plates and text-block all in excellent condition, the covers detached at the hinges, easily restored as needed.
