A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, minor bump to upper front edge and upper corners and a trace of browning to page edges. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn or creased with very slight bumping to upper edge. 379pp. An anthology of Second World War poems with an emphasis on first-hand experiences and eye-witness accounts, combined with poetic quality. Also tucked-in is a personal letter from the Editor to Professor Townsend. From the Personal Library of the late Emeritus Professor Peter Townsend of Bristol University and the London School of Economics, Founding Professor of the University of Essex and founder of the Child Poverty Action Group.
