With engraved pictorial title and 2 full-page engravings, by Raphael Sandeler. (7) leaves, 288 pp. 12mo. Contemporary vellum (ties lacking). Munich, Nicolai Henricus, 1629. The book is divided into "hours", each with the theme how to die, to pray, to life and is dedicated by Jeremias Drexel (15811-1638) to his guardian angel. At that time the Roman Catholic Church was promoting the cult of the Guardian Angels. The nice and impresive plates are cut by the engraver Raphael Sadeler (Antwerp 1560 - Munich or Venice 1628 or 1632).- Nice copy, old ms. exlibris and small monastery library stamp on first text leaf. - Probably not in VD17; Dünnhaupt (2nd ed.), p. 1383, 7.17.; Pörnbacher, Drexel, p. 172.
