This is a very good hardcover copy bound in orange cloth with title in gilt on the spine. This copy came from some kind of private or public collection, and has one mark that indicates this status: a number at the base of the spine, like a Dewey decimal number. Otherwise completely clean throughout, no other marks, cards, etc. Text in Italian. Massive compilation of thousands of post-war Italian artists. Thousands of black & white illustrations of paintings, drawings and sculpture. illustrations on every page. The entries are arranged alphabetically and consist of artist name, dates, place of birth, exhibition activity, educational background, public and private collections, bibliography. An essential reference especially for less well known post-war Italian artists. 12" high X 8" wide, 1231 pages. Will require extra postage, the book weighs 10 pounds - 4.5 kilos before being packed.
