Description

This is a very good hardcover copy in a very good price-clipped dust jacket. The white jacket is lightly or evenly soiled, with the top of the spine a little chipped, and a closed tear on the back panel, and a tiny abrasion to the color illustration by De Chirico on the front cover. Very clean inside. This is the third and last edition, with all corrections and the additional color plates. Originally published to accompany the exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in 1936. Preface and introduction by Barr. Essays by George Hugnet. Chronology of Dada and Surrealist art by Barr and Elodie Courter. List of fantastic and Surrealist films in MoMA's collection. Bibliography. Illustrated in black & white with 6 color plates. 10" high X 8" wide, 271 pages.
