This book provides a concise account of the principles types of electron diffraction apparatus, the theory of electron diffraction patterns and electron micrographs.
A brief historical account of the earliest experiments is followed by a description of the different types of modern electron diffraction apparatus, and the various techniques used for preparing specimens. The kinematic and dynamic theories of electronic diffraction are then developed and applied to the interpretation of the various types of diffraction patterns.
