This is the most important reference dealing in Americana, including north, central and south America. Originally printed in 29 volumes over 70 years, 1868-1939, this more compact edition, in two volumes contains all the material of the original, with eight pages of the original printed on each page of the oblong quarto volumes. The micro-print version of this monumental bibliography of books relating to America begun by Joseph Sabin, continued by Wilberforce Eames and completed by Robert Vail . It includes over 106,000 entries of books, pamphlets and periodicals that were written by Americans or relate to America no matter where they were printed Each entry includes descriptive material, collations, many details, often with compilers' comments, etc. Breslauer & Folter 129.
