This is a very good hardcover copy in a very good dust jacket. This copy belonged to the Museum of Modern Art Library and was withdrawn. It bears three handstamps from MoMA: one on the inside front cover, one on the title-page lower corner and the last on the colophon. No other library markings. Some small tan marks, occasional handling marks to page edges, but generally clean. One repaired edge tear to a text page. William Rubin was the chief curator of painting and sculpture at MoMA when he wrote this classic study. 851 illustrations, including 60 color plates. Chronology. Bibliography. 12" high X 10" wide, 525 pages. Large heavy book, foreign shipping will be extra. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
