Description

This is a fine hardcover copy in a very good dust jacket. Very clean inside and out. This is the only monograph on the work of Clerisseau, an enigmatic French archeologist working in the second half of the 18th century. Clerisseau was a contemporary of Robert Adam, and was one of the creators of the neo-classical style in Italy, which then spread to England and America. 169 black & white illustrations. 10" high X 8" wide, 284 pages. A beautiful copy.
