Description

A photo book "Ladies & Gentlemen, Sex Parts, Torsos" by Andy Warhol, an American artist representing the 20th century. Cameras and photographs have become an indispensable creative source for Warhol, a pop art bearer. As a sketchbook, as a diary, and as a means of communication with people, I always carry my camera around and use it as a huge film. Considering the work that was sometimes created by citing himself as the subject, and sometimes by quoting someone's photograph, it can be said that the core of Warhol's work was "photography" and "taking a picture." This book is a collection of works published at the exhibition in Germany and Belgium in the beginning of 2000. It is composed of polaroid photographs, which are the bases of "Padies", "Sex Parts" and "Torsos", which are representative works of the painting series created after the mid-1970s. Through a sequence of 435 illustrations in total, this unique book vividly expresses the essence of Warhol Art. Preface by Nobuyoshi Araki.
